Reading today's market…

What to do today

Pick a style. These are paper (practice) trades — no real money. Each one tells you plainly what you'd make, what you'd risk, and the odds.

New to this? 30-second primer

What are these trades, in plain English?
  • Buy a call — a bet a stock goes up. You pay a small premium; if the stock rises enough you profit, and the most you can lose is what you paid.
  • Buy a put — the opposite: a bet a stock goes down.
  • Put credit spread (income) — you get paid cash up front and keep it as long as the stock doesn't fall below a chosen price. Lower risk, steady income; the trade-off is your profit is capped. This is the "get paid to be patient" trade.
